In collaboration with Miracle, Siemens Energy has built a tailored contract library that removes the need to work manually through long and demanding contracts. The solution makes identifying contracts containing specific clauses both fast and highly reliable.
Locating specific clauses across a large volume of contracts, each potentially hundreds of pages long, demands considerable effort. When hours are spent reviewing documents manually, human error becomes more likely, which can result in repeated checks or relevant contracts being overlooked entirely. The outcome is a significant loss of valuable time that could be put to more productive use elsewhere.
The contract library uses generative AI to scan every contract and identify those containing the clause the user is looking for. Results are presented in two formats: a chatbot response, which allows the user to ask follow-up questions, and a table listing each matching contract. To ensure reliability, the user can click any clause to open the source document, where the relevant passage is located and highlighted automatically. With a single click, the user can see exactly where the information came from and verify it firsthand.
